Right Wing Thoughts
The great William F. Buckley once said:
"I will not cede more power to the state. I will not willingly cede more power to anyone, not to the state, not to General Motors,
not to the CIO. I will then use my power, as I see fit.
I mean to live my life an obedient man, but obedient to God, subservient to the wisdom of my ancestors; never to the authority of political truths arived at
yesterday at the voting booth."
William F. Buckley knew what he wanted from freedom. He also knew that power in the hands of an individual person working to better themselves is better
than power in the hands of a group of people in the government working to better themselves. According to Buckley, there were no political truths that could have
absolute authority when they were arrived at by the whims of the people. Instead, he chose to hold fast to the principles espoused by our fore-fathers.
